"I think books are like people, in the sense that they’ll turn up in your life when you most need them." – Emma Thompson
Has a lot of references to chemistry.
Great to have it as a coffee table read.
Great read to spark your creativity.
Funny enough I read it rather quickly agreeing and nodding my head along the way, but can't remember the actual content in it.
This is a bit more design jargon-filled read. I remembered the word signifies and understood some other design terms.
Lots of studies and experiments are tied to design. Because of it, I learned why most men are not as perceptive to colour shades and nuances as most women.
Full with actionable examples and tips on how you can conduct certain design methods on a big design team scale and also as a solo designer.
"The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any." – Alice Walker
If you want to get the most out of your 24 hours and life I highly recommend you read it.
I find the Power of now easier to digest with a bit more substance. But still, a good book that makes you think.
Packed with all positive psychology ideas and practices and a decent amount of humour and personal stories that made me like it. If you do not tolerate any profanity, you might not enjoy it.
This book grounded me a lot. The style in which is written is also interesting. Highly recommend it.
Concentrating on inner work, I enjoyed the read.
A bit stuffed with Christianity and history.
Focused on human behaviour, physiology and actions.
Great actionable exercises towards the end of the book. Meditation guide included.
Loved it. This book is perfect for people who think for themselves, are capable to read it without getting angry, don't take everything too literally and most importantly are curious about other perspectives. Highly recommend it!
Short and easy to read. Not as memorable to write a review about.
Nothing specific stuck with me from this book.
Interesting cultural examples and philosophies combined. It has a few things repeating throughout the book. Not much of a character or some deeper profound stories. 5% of it was some kind of new information for me.
Filled with positive psychology, the use of affirmations and all things Louise Hay.
Easy to read and recommended.
